Praza AI: edit your reels in Claude Code, set up with one prompt.

Everyone's editing their reels with Claude now, and the setup always comes with a course. This is mine, free. Unzip it, open Claude Code in the folder, paste one prompt. It checks your computer, installs what's missing and tells you the exact fix if it gets stuck.

Then you say “edit my reel”. It cuts your bad takes, shows you the plan and waits for your OK before it touches captions, graphics, sound and colour.

Praza AI is the free version of my full editing engine. You get 10 Looks, 30 graphics, 10 caption styles and 4 recipes, which is plenty for a clean, captioned reel. When you want effects, motion graphics and a studio app you can see your edit in, that's the Ultimate Editing Engine.

What it does

Cuts reads your takes, keeps the best one of each line, and removes pauses and breaths. It cuts on the audio, so no word gets clipped.
Plans shows you a storyboard of every beat, with its layout, graphics and words, and waits for your OK. Change anything in plain English first.
10 Looks one choice sets the layout, captions, graphics, grade and sound: Clean Business, Calm Premium, Bold Creator, Cinematic Story, Proof First, Pastel Tips, Weekly Series, Forest Editorial, Oxblood Editorial and Forest Kinetic.
10 caption styles word-by-word timing, one highlighted word per phrase, kept clear of your face.
30 graphics stats, charts, checklists that reveal as you say them, name titles, phone and app screens and more. They sit behind your head.
4 recipes business reel, talking tips, story and listicle. Each one asks you at most three questions, then plans the edit.
Sound sound effects on the big moments only, your voice levelled for social, and one-sided mic audio repaired.
In the chat no app opens and there's no timeline to drag. You direct the edit in words.
Not in the free version effects, Liquid Glass, motion graphics, live carousels, YouTube long-form, the watch folder and the studio app. Those are in the paid plans.
Private your video and audio stay on your computer. Retake removal and hook titles send only the transcript text, through your own Claude Code login.

What you need

A Mac (recommended) macOS 13 or newer, with about 8 GB of free disk for the install and a few GB per render.
Or Windows 11 Praza AI has also run on Windows 11, but renders were very slow on a 2016 laptop, so use a recent, higher-spec PC. The paid plans are Mac only for now.
Claude Code installed, signed in with your own Claude plan. Get Claude Code. Praza AI doesn't include Claude usage.
Talking-head clips it's made for reels where you talk to camera, not vlogs with B-roll, multi-camera shoots or long-form YouTube edits.

Set it up, step by step

It takes 5 to 15 minutes, mostly downloads.

Unzip it and open Claude Code in the folder

Unzip Praza AI anywhere. Your Downloads folder is fine. Open Claude Code inside that folder, so it can see the installer.

Paste one prompt, press enter

Copy the install prompt below and paste it into Claude Code. That's the only thing you type.

It checks your computer, then installs what's missing

First it checks your system and free disk space. Then it installs only what you don't already have:

ffmpeg for cutting and encoding;
Python, in the skill's own folder, so nothing else on your computer changes;
the Whisper speech model that writes your captions;
the renderer that turns the edit into an MP4.

It asks one question first: whether you want re-listen, a second opinion on words the transcript got wrong (about 1 GB more).

If it can't do something, it tells you the exact fix

Some steps need you, like typing your password for a system tool. Claude doesn't guess. It stops, shows you the one command or click that fixes it, and waits.

Green ticks and a test reel

The doctor checks every tool's version, the speech model, the fonts and your disk space, then renders a two-second test reel. Any line with a ✗ comes with its fix. It runs again until it ends with “Everything is ready.”

Say “edit my reel”

Start a new Claude Code session so the skill loads, then say edit my reel (or type /praza) and give it your video file. It cuts your bad takes, shows you the storyboard and waits for your OK before it renders.

Pick a Look, get the finished reel

Choose one of the 10 Looks and it does captions, graphics, sound and colour in one pass. You get a 1080×1920 reel that stays inside the Reels safe zone, saved to a Praza AI folder in your Movies folder. It never posts or uploads anything.

The install prompt

Open Claude Code in the unzipped Praza AI folder and paste this.

Install the Praza AI skill from this folder on my Mac and check it works. Work through these steps in order, show me
one short line per step, and stop and tell me the exact fix if a step fails. Don't change anything outside what these
steps need.

1. Check this is a Mac on macOS 13 or newer, and that at least 8 GB of disk is free (df -h ~). If not, stop and tell me.
2. Check Homebrew is installed (/opt/homebrew/bin/brew or /usr/local/bin/brew). If it isn't, don't install it
   yourself: tell me to open https://brew.sh, paste its one-line command into Terminal, enter my Mac password, and
   come back. Then wait for me.
3. Check the Xcode command line tools (xcrun --find swiftc). If they're missing, tell me to run
   xcode-select --install and click Install in the window that opens. Carry on meanwhile: they're optional.
4. Ask me one question and wait for the answer: "Do you want re-listen? It gives a second opinion on words the
   transcript got wrong, and it's about 1 GB more to download." Then run the installer from this folder and wait for
   it to finish (it can take 10 minutes; run it in the background and wait, don't time out):
      bash install.sh                    (if I said no)

   The installer copies the skill to ~/.claude/skills/praza-ai and installs only what's missing:
   - with Homebrew: ffmpeg (with H.264, VP9 and AAC), Node.js 22 or newer, and Python 3.12+;
   - in the skill's own folder: a Python environment from requirements.txt (faster-whisper, PyAV, NumPy, Pillow,
     OpenCV, yt-dlp) and the HyperFrames 0.8.34 renderer;
   - once each: the renderer's Chrome and the Whisper speech model (medium.en on Macs with 16 GB or more, small.en
     otherwise).
   Fonts and sound effects are bundled; nothing is installed system-wide.
5. Run the doctor:
      ~/.claude/skills/praza-ai/runtime/venv/bin/python ~/.claude/skills/praza-ai/scripts/doctor.py
   It checks each tool's version, the Whisper model, the fonts, disk space and the Claude Code command, then renders a
   2-second test reel. Show me its output. If any line has a ✗, run the "Fix:" line under it (ask me first if it needs
   my password), then run the doctor again until it ends with "Everything is ready."
6. Tell me in plain words what you installed and where, that it all runs on this Mac and in this chat (no app opens),
   and three things I can say next time, for example:
   - "Edit ~/Desktop/my-video.mov with Praza AI"
   - "Edit my latest clip as a documentary edit with real pictures, and show me the sources first"
   - "Plan the edit of ~/Desktop/take2.mov but don't render yet"
   Remind me to start a new Claude Code session so the skill loads, and that it always shows me the storyboard
   before it renders, and never posts or uploads anything.

On Windows

Use the Windows download, open Claude Code in the unzipped folder and paste this instead. You'll need Git for Windows too. The first install can take 20 minutes or more.

Install Praza AI on this Windows PC and check it works. Show me one short line per step, and if a step fails, stop and
tell me the exact fix in plain words. Don't change anything outside what these steps need. Don't ask for any key or
password, and don't ask me technical questions. Run the commands in PowerShell, not Bash.

1. Find the package: if this folder has local-install\setup.ps1, use it. Otherwise look in my Downloads folder for an
   unzipped folder with local-install\setup.ps1 in it, or else the newest Praza-AI-Windows.zip, and unzip that into
   Downloads (Expand-Archive; the zip holds one folder). If there's none, tell me to download the Windows zip, and stop.
2. Run the installer and wait for it. It downloads about 2 to 3 GB and can take 20 minutes, so run it in the background
   and wait for it; don't time out or start it twice:
     powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File local-install\setup.ps1
   It puts everything in a "UEE Studio" folder in my user folder, with its own Node.js, Python and ffmpeg. It adds the
   editing skill to Claude Code.
3. If it stops with an "X" line, run the "Fix:" line under it (ask me first if Windows will ask for permission), then
   run it again. It is safe to run again.
4. Show me the check's output. Its last line must say "Everything is ready."
5. Finish with: where it's installed; that I edit by chatting (no app opens); that I should start a new Claude Code chat,
   drag in a video of me talking to the camera and say "edit my reel"; that renders can be very slow on an older PC; and
   where PHRASES.md is.

Before you start

Film clean a quiet room and a clip-on mic do more for the edit than any setting. The speech model hears clear audio best.
Approve the storyboard reading the plan takes a minute. Re-rendering a bad edit takes longer. Change anything in plain words before you say OK.
First run is slow the speech model and the renderer download once. After that, edits run on your computer.
To remove it move the praza-ai and praza folders in ~/.claude/skills, and the Praza AI projects folder in Movies, to the Bin. No accounts, no API keys, nothing uploaded.
